Yesterday, in his "Outside the Box" newsletter, John Mauldin sent out a quarterly update from Stratfor, which is an analysis of the world's geopolitics for the next quarter. It analyzes each region of the world, with its current challenges, possible outcomes, and consequences for investors.In the latest issue, Stratfor said that the United States and Iran have been secretly negotiating a deal to end the stand-off over Iran's nuclear program.
Now, this morning, some news reports are suggesting that such a deal may be coming fairly soon, perhaps before the end of the year. Wow! I couldn't help but think that this must be bearish for the price of oil.
