Stocks Down on Bad News

There is a plethora of bad news this morning. S&P is imminently planning to downgrade the debt of various European countries. Novartis is laying off nearly 2000 employees (and we all thought the pharmaceutical industry was impervious to recessions), JP Morgan announced that earnings were down 23%, etc. Stocks down about 140, but it looks like Wall St has already put in a bottom at around -150 for the day.
